My Day with My First Love - Mickey! And my brother was there too.

So if you know me you may know I need to grow the fuck up!

I honestly forget I'm not a kid sometimes…

But I think thats what makes me lovable.
My child like kindness, and honesty.

Any way my AMAZZZZINNGGG brother got back home to the states
from touring, and made a stop in California to see me.

He offered to take me to Disney Land!!!!

And after I cleaned the floor (I pissed, and vomited a little in excitement) I said,
"HELL YEAH!"

So, the next day he woke me up a little to early…
Seeing as though we went for drinks the night before I was feeling all that amazing,

But I had to get cute for Mickey!!

So, I paid homage to one of my favorite Disney movies Lion King,
and wore:

My King of the Jungle Lion Tee (Urban Outfitters Melrose).

Khaki Thigh Length shorts (Thirfted)

Calf Length Purple socks scrunched down to my ankle (American Apparel)

&

Black 2 inch T.U.K ( POSERS Melrose)

Needless to say, but I will anyway…

I had the time of my life!!

I cried a little!

Both: Out of pure joy, and because I thought I was going to die on the Tower of Terror.

SIDEBAR: I really thought I was going to die…

I would show you the pic, but Im crying and I look ugly, and
no one gets to see me ugly.  END SIDEBAR

I got my picture with Mickey!!
My brother and I were probably the only grown MEN in this place
looking for Mickey Mouse so intensely.

..And I saw my old high school friends, or as
you may remember us from the movie MEAN GIRLS!

Here is Gretchen, and Regina waiving goodbye to me after dropping
me off at the exit! I was like, "Thanks Bitches" and, they were like, "No prob Cady!"

All in all I had a great time!!

See you soon Mickey!!

Gretchen, and Regina better not tell Karen I hated Les Miserables!!

Met Gala 2013 with me!

I dont get to post as often as I'd like but this was an important one:

THE MET BALL 2013

Now I don't particularly think anyone this year belongs on an
worst dressed list per say, but I also don't think anyone exactly stepped
outside of their comfort zone as one should do when attending a fashion gala.

The them this year was Punk, and I don't think many took that into thought before
leaving home, but than again some took it to far Miley Cyrus's Hair stylist being one.
Here are a couple small list I put together of some of my faves…

My Favorites:

1.) Anne Hathaway in Vintage 92' Valentino

Easily one of my favorites of the night Anne Hathaway
did more than stepped; she jumped out of her usual "girl next door" comfort
zone and stunned me with her platinum hair and little to the imagination gown.
She was gorgeous!
My tie for best dressed along with…

1.) Nicole Richie in TopShop

Another favorite of mine is my idol Nicole Richie of course.
Her hair aged her slightly, but to her benefit. It gave her an eerie ice
queen vibe; I waited for her to pull her poisonous apple out and give it to Snow White.
Her accessorizing: Amazing. Earrings; Nails; Clutch; Everything came together so well.

2.) Rooney Mara in Givenchy

Rooney easily ate the other stars for breakfast before walking in the Gala.
She was gorgeous in head-to-toe Givenchy. The only other person that pulled off white better was Nicole, but even that was to close for comfort. Im still going back, and
forth in my mind as I type thinking who did it best.

3.)Sienna Miller in Burberry

Sienna I believe is one of the only people that actually understood the theme
of the night. Her look was All British: All Punk! I love the none-cliche use of
studding. She was so effortless with her styling. She looks as if she left a family dinner party
on the back of her boyfriends motor cycle, because her family doesn't "Get her."

4.) Kristen Stewart in Stella McCartney

I'm honestly not a huge fan of the personality lacking Kristen Stewart.
That being said Im also not a hater, and I must say she looked great in this lacy
Stella McCartney pantsuit! Good for you Kristen, and thank you for not ruining another
look by putting on sneakers.. that is all.

5.) Kerry Washington in Vera Wang

I LOVE IT.
Do I need to say more?
This was amazing. The almost gothic floral influence, the black leather gloves,
the subtle purple highlights (not usually a fan, of grown women with highlights, but I'll make an exception), and the minimal accessories was a hit with me!
Great job beautiful.

Best Punk Influence:

1.) Anja Rubik in Anthony Vaccarello

2.) Madonna in Givenchy

3.) Gisele Bundchen in Anthony Vaccarello

4.) Sarah Jessica Parker in Giles Deacon &
Philip Treacy (Head Piece)

5.) Cara Delevingne in Burberry

These were my faves although I would've loved to see
one of my designs below on the ladies:

Eh fuck it! There always next year!

I'll pat myself on the DAMN back!

So I've been thinking,
that on it's on usually gets me in trouble,
but none the less Ive been thinking about life;
More specifically where I'll be next year.

I was thinking about the choices I've made to get where
I am today….

The choice I made to get on that plane and leave
everything I love (for the 2nd time)…

I was thinking…

"Was this the right choice?"

If you mix in a Lykke Li playlist, Vodka, & to much time on your hands
you're bound to dissect every decision you've made thus far in life.

SOoo..

I began dissecting,

I dissected every aspect of my life:

Lies I've told; Fashion Decisions I've made; Friends I've chosen; Ones I should've let go…

I thought about all of these things, and realized

I've done pretty damn well for myself.

Some people, me being one, tend to be very critical of themselves.
I concentrate on flaws, and things that I need to change
instead of patting myself on the back from time to time.

As I'm writing this out a quote comes to mind..

"If you can't love yourself,
how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?"

…no better junction of words could describe my mood right now.

I wore the things I wore because I looked damn good in them (at the time);

I have the friends I have, because they understand me so well
I doubt I could replace them;

The lying…

eh

Sometimes it comes with the territory.

The gist of this post was to basically tell you
pat yourself on the back sometimes.

If no one else will you might as well do it.

"Now can I get an AMEN?"

BITCH. It has been WAY to long.

"I don't know you anymore.
It's been to long. So lets go back. All the way back. To where everything starts."
SugarLips by. "North Highlands"

I heard a song today.
One that I have not heard in a long time.
And it made me miss so many faces that I have not SEEN in a long time.
It made me … home sick.

But I got over it.

LOL

I'm in LA!!!!!!

Who has time to be homesick?!

I absolutely without a doubt miss

my beautiful friends,

colourful associates,

and that impeccable skyline Chicago has…

BUT I had to travel and meet new people,
and learn new things,
all while finishing up my courses at FIDM.

Anyway, life in LA is great.
You'd think being such a giant place it would be a little more
scary (a side from a meth head or 3 The cities pretty safe).
I guess growing up on the south side of Chicago prepares you for life a little.

I have had some insane shit happen to me so far in LA…

Seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger (<<--googled fuck="" i="" of="" out="" spelling="" the="">
ride his bike with security in short shorts.

Seeing Justin Bieber by my house. (I died; this is a ghost typing)

And suckiest shit ever…

My boss embezzled money and left the country.

Shit was crazy!!!

Back to the bright side….

I met some new friends..

GREGERRRZZZZZZ

Caught up with some old friends….

SAMMY

AND DID IT ALL WITH MY MAIN BITCH!

PU$$Y

Can't wait to show you guys new things I've been working on….

Btw how do you like the new look?

more things to come..

Ill keep you posted.

Know Your Brand!

If the likes of Paris & the hilton dynasty & Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen
have taught us anything over the years it is: learn, and be your own brand.
Nothing is worse then a person that has all the potential in the world
to be larger than life, and they keep fucking it up getting people
confused as to who they are and what theyre trying to do.

I realized my brand a while back and Ive been working towards
growing and building upon the roots ive already stuck in the ground of life.
Another thing people dont realize is, just because you have a certain quality
you are NOT that specific quality: That quality is not your brand.
Its only a small part of who you are.

I am a designer, intelligent, black, young, tattooed, pierced, Homo MAN, but
these are just paint strokes in my full picture.

Basically I had an "A-HA!" moment and i thought id share it
with you guys.
Also as a part of knowing my brand I have once again for the final
time changed the name of the blog to:
RARAANTONIO.BLOGSPOT.COM

Now its easier to find and to be honest I out grew the old name!

Love ya!

no, for real...

I DO!

Would You Wear Me? #2

As you may or may not know the reason I havent been
updating as much on the blog is Im getting ready
to take another huge step in life; Im moving back to the west coast!
L.A to be specific: Venice Beach to be even more specific.
I along with another friend decided its time to stop watching
the world rotate while we were in the same place.
So Im going to one of the best cities here in the states!

Anyway since im moving back to the west coast and have made plans
to attend college while im there I decided I need to get back in touch with
my designer side. Obvi it never left (I mean have you seen my style amazingness?)
its nice to pick up my pencil and think about fashion the
way I used to before i got so lazy.
These, plus the previous post and those others to come, are my
first steps back through the door of fashion illustration and design.
I like being reassured by those that understand the curve of a woman
and the detail it takes to design the garments i do.
Basically im asking...
WOULD YOU WEAR ME?

For more designs you can obvi visit the blog frequently
or to feel your day-2day RaRa needs ...

add one or all of the following..

Love you!
for real...

I DO!
